York Sky Ride

York Sky Ride, Clifford's Tower

The York Sky Ride took place today. There was a city centre circuit closed to traffic, so that people of all ages and abilities could ride their bikes around York.

The central hub was near Clifford's Tower, with quite loud music, a compere, and refreshments available. The route of the ride from there was south along the river, over Millenium Bridge, past Rowntree Park, along Skeldergate and North Street, over Lendal Bridge, past the Minster, and back to Clifford's Tower. 

The event coincided with the York Festival of Cycling in Rowntree Park, where there were lots of fun cycling-related events to take part in.
