This is yet another excellent book in the series. David takes great pictures, researches local history, is very amusing. If you haven’t tried one of his books you should!

This book is a real treasure trove:- varied rides (family, road & MTB) complemented with fascinating snippets of local history, to enhance your day in the Dales. The road routes follow quiet roads with little traffic. This book saves you a lot of time as you can be sure the rides are superbly planned and you can download the routes to your navigation device instantly from the Hedgehog cycling webpage. The book abounds with tips on cafes and ‘things to look out for’. When you get back from the ride, or beforehand, you can dip in and read the fascinating facts of Yorkshire, or just enjoying looking at the great pictures. I’ve done a couple of the routes in the book; they are great routes and clearly explained. Keep pedalling with David … throughout this large county.

Entertaining and thoroughly researched, each chapter gives not just a route description, but also a guided tour of places to see along the way. The photographs are an outstanding feature of the book, particularly the wildlife photos.
I am looking forward to trying out the routes with a flapjack rating of 1-2, but for adventurous riders there are plenty of more challenging routes too.
Highly recommended!

The book is a bucket list of great road or mountain bike rides. The descriptions are detailed and full of interesting nuggets of information about the landscape and history and plenty of humour. Recommended, along with the rest of the series
