Council Publishes Harrogate Development Sites

North Yorkshire Council (NYC) has published the results of a call for development sites in Harrogate, and in wider North Yorkshire.

The council made the call in April 2024. Landowners, promoters and developers have put forward sites for consideration as allocations in a new Local Plan.

Harrogate sites shown on NYC’s map include:

• Penny Pot Lane, in the fields to the left of the road as you climb away from the bridge over Oak Beck
• Church Lane, on the way down towards Pannal
• sites west of Jennyfield, and between Jennyfield and Killinghall
• the Bilton railway triangle

The next step is for NYC to consider which sites are recommended for allocation, and which are dismissed.

There will then be a public consultation.
