Stage 12 of the 2025 Tour de France came down to a battle on the final climb to Hautacam.

Pogacar attacked 12km from the finish and dropped everyone instantly. He went on to win by 2min10 over Vingegaard in second place.

With that, the Slovenian has probably killed this Tour de France stone dead.

Florian Lipowitz of Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe did a great ride to finish third, 2min23 behind Pogacar.

The Breakaway

An early breakaway featured 51 riders, but they gradually dropped back. The strongest of them was Bruno Armirail of Decathlon AG2R, who began the final climb with a lead of nearly 2 minutes over the elite GC group.

Armirail was passed by Pogacar with 11km left to go.

The Rest of the GC

Tobias Johanessen and Oscar Onley were fourth and fifth, 3 minutes behind the winner.

Kévin Vauquelin was at 3min33 and Remco Evenepoel at 3min35.

Ben Healy had a bad day, losing 13min38 and the yellow jersey.
