The Electric Bike Shop Opens in Harrogate

A branch of The Electric Bike Shop has opened in Harrogate this week. It’s on the Leeds Road parade of shops.

Manager Kurt says it was due to open on Friday 11th February 2022, but since they were ready they went for a ‘soft opening’ a couple of days early.

The shop sells bikes from brands including Cube, Gocycle, Haibike, Lapierre, Raleigh and Tern. They also stock Riese und Müller machines, which are among the highest quality e-bikes. What’s more, a variety of cargo bikes are in stock.

The Electric Bike Shop has a fleet of demo bikes, so test rides are available.

E-bike sales are increasing, with e-bikes representing 23% of the UK’s bicycle sales by value, according to a report in Cycling Industry News. Kurt hopes to see a domino effect as more and more people decide that two wheels plus electric assist is the best way to get around town.

As well as e-bike sales, the shop does servicing of all types of bikes, including non-electric models.
