Pogacar won Stage 4 of the Tour de France 2024 in Valloire.

Team UAE took control on the climb of the Galibier, reducing the peloton to an elite few, including Vingegaard, Evenepoel, Landa, Roglic and Carlos Rodriguez as well as Tadej Pogacar.

Pogacar attacked about 800m before the summit, and got a gap of around 8s over Vingegaard. Pogacar took the maximum bonus seconds over the top of the Galibier.

The Slovenian UAE rider increased his lead over Vingegaard on the descent, particularly the less technical lower section.

In the end, the next group over the line was Evenepoel, Juan Ayuso and Roglic (at 35s), and Vingegaard and Carlos Rodriguez (37s).
