Milan the Height of Fashion on Stage 8

Stage 8 ended in the bunch sprint that the parcours was designed to produce, and it was won by Jonathan Milan of Lidl Trek.

Wout van Aert was Milan’s main challenger, but he couldn’t beat the Italian to the line.

Milan had already won the intermediate sprint at Vitré.

With 80km left a break finally went, featuring two Total Energies riders – Mathieu Burgaudeau and Mattéo Vercher. They were still out front at the sole categorised climb on the stage, but were caught before the finale.
