Parallel Crossing of Oatlands Drive

The new parallel crossing of Oatlands Drive was completed last week.

It gives a priority crossing of the road for people walking or cycling on Slingsby Walk.

North Yorkshire Council promised to build crossings of Wetherby Road and Oatlands Drive by 31st March 2024, but the timetable slipped repeatedly.

A Toucan crossing of Wetherby Road was built in November 2025, and now the parallel crossing of Oatlands Drive has been added to the route.

Double yellow lines are due to be added on the east side of Oatlands Drive to prevent parking on the Stray.
