One Sprinter Cuts the Mustard in Dijon on Stage 6

As expected, Stage 6 of the Tour de France 2024 ended in a bunch sprint in Dijon.
Astana were in a good position approaching the finish, but seemed to lose places before the sprint proper. Cavendish was too far back to contest the win.
On the final straight, Jasper Philipsen on the right hand side of the road and Dylan Groenewegen on the left. Groenwegen was first across the line by a bit more than a bicycle tyre.
It was perhaps lucky that Philipsen wasn’t first, as it avoided what could otherwise have been a controversy. The Alpecin Deceuninck sprinter had closed the door on Wout van Aert, moving across to the barriers on the right hand side to block the Visma Lease-a-Bike rider, and was relegated for deviating from his line.
