2027 Tour de France in Edinburgh May Cost £1.7 Million

The 2027 Tour de France in Edinburgh may cost £1.7 million, reports Edinburgh News.

A report which will be considered at a council meeting today contains a request for that amount to be allocated to the race from the local authority’s reserve funds.

The intention is to reimburse the reserve fund using the city’s forthcoming Visitor Levy.

Edinburgh City Council is Labour-led. The council’s SNP group is opposing the spending request.
