Breakaway Riders Bustle into Ussel on Stage 9

Mathieu van der Poel won Stage 9 of the Tour de France 2026 in Ussel.
He was in a breakaway group with Tom Pidcock, Tobias Johanessen and Alex Baudin, and launched his sprint first. Johanessen was second and Pidcock, who had mechanical issues with his gears, was third.
Mads Pedersen took first place in the intermediate sprint at Beynat after 45km.
A break of around 13 riders went quite a number of kilometres later, but splintered on the Suc au May. Then on the Mont Bessou van der Poel accelerated, and only Pidcock, Johnaessen and Baudin could stick with him.
These are video highlights of Stage 9.
